Day 32 of God’s Love for Us

“Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised” (Hebrews 10:35-36NASB).

So we have a bad day, or a bad week, or even a bad year, so what. We shouldn’t throw our confidence and self worth in the trash because of that, should we? No, I don’t think so. God will allow us to be tested, because He wants us to have testimony. He will allow us to be thrown into the pool to swim with the sharks, so we can seek Him for safety. He does not like us sitting in the shallow end and splashing around in a pity pool.

Your confidence is your testimony to the endurance you have and His guidance you seek. He wants us to “trust in Him with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding; but in all our ways submit to him, and he will make our paths straight”(Proverbs 3:5-6). “For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people”(1 Peter 2:15).

God opens doors so we can take action and learn and experience each day. Carpe diem! Sieze the day!
