Day 31 of God’s Love for Us

We know that love comes from God. “By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgement…There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love”(1 John 4:17-18NASB). Perfected here has the meaning of moral character becoming perfect.

Fear comes from the devil and is the opposite of love. If we love God, then we need to love ourselves. God doesn’t hold grudges against those who love Him. If we focus on loving Him, our fears, our anger, our resentment, and our anxieties will become as still and transparent as an early morning pond. Let God’s love flow through you, and watch the transformational power change your attitude, your thoughts, and your situations, as well as the lives of those around you.
