Day 40 of God’s Love

Day 40 of God’s Love for Us

February 8, 2018

“Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, “For your sake we are being put to death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through him who loved us” (Romans 8:35-37 NASB ).

Satan will give us all of these tests and struggles, including money and comfort because he hates God. Satan does not like you and me or love us, he seduces us simply because he hates God. Therefore, if we don’t choose God, then we are being “accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

But because God loved us first, Jesus was born and died on the cross, then resurrected to separate us from all that the powers of hell on earth can do. We are loved, we are chosen, we are strong because we have God on our side.

I read this quote this morning:

“To conquer frustration, one must remain intensely focused on the outcome, not the obstacles.”? T. F. Hodge

My brothers and sisters, conquer what the devil gives you by keeping your eternity as the focus.
