Day 21 of God’s Love for Us

This sounds powerful and should be embraced I think, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”(2Timothy 1:7 NKJ) From my study bible it says, “Paul urged him (Timothy) to be bold. When we allow people to intimidate us,  we neutralize our effectiveness for God. The power of the Holy Spirit can help us overcome our fear of what some might say or do to us, so that we can continue to do God’s work.” (NASB notes pg2140)

This verse from Paul to Timothy is powerful because it does not say “God gave these to you Timothy,” it says, “God gave us (all) a spirit of power, love, and sound mind.” “Us all” includes you and me! Now, and everytime we feel down or weak, we should instead jump up and down and shout Hallaluah, and embrace the power given to us “according to His own purpose and grace.”(2Timothy 1:9)
