Idol Worship

Idol worship, we all do it right? Probably to some degree.

Idols in our society are generally metaphorical. What do we hold in our minds as our greatest possession or obsession? Our car, our job, our clothes, our TV? What do we think about most? That’s an idol if we think about it more than thinking about and doing things to glorify God.

Jesus came as a baby born in a stable to signify that He thought of Himself less than He thought of others. We live in a me, me, me instant gratification society, true? Postponement of gratification has a greater reward and glorifies God because it makes us think of serving others while thinking of ourselves less.
