Hallelujah I’m Waldo

Hallelujah I’m Waldo

June 7, 2017

Do you remember playing that game with your kids, “Where’s Waldo?” We used to get those seeking books out every night before bed and read and find Waldo. My kids enjoyed that when they were small.  We would giggle at some of the people that we would find.

In reality, we’re Waldo. God has that same view of us. We are right there on the page of the book that He is reading.

We think we’re running and hiding, but God knows right where we are. He’s always seeking us. Seeking ways that He can use something or someone to turn the table on us so that we find Him and seek Him.
Then we say, “Hallelujah, I found Jesus.”  All the while, God is watching and saying, “Hallelujah, Give Me a hug, How can I help?”

Hallelujah means sing praise to God. When we sing, especially worship songs, it lifts our heart and our mood. I stopped listening to secular music a few years ago and my stress level has been decreasing ever since. I sing along in my car or at home and I find I’m happier within a couple of songs when I’m down or frustrated.

When we sing praise and worship songs, we allow the Holy Spirit in to cleanse us of the trash and debris that seems to get stuck inside the fenced-in pen of our body. One trash bag at a time is how we get the yard cleaned up. Often times it takes help, or just knowing where to start.

Start by seeking God. Start by singing praises to Him. Singing changes your state of mind. Often times from “woe is me” to gratitude and praise. With gratitude and praise comes hope and belief. Hope and belief, with God’s help, become direction and purpose. Direction and purpose then become solution and action.

Action is where we begin; seeking and singing. If you want to be lifted up out of the mess of life, start by singing and see what happens my friend.

Blessings to you today,
Waldo 🙂
