Can We be Face to Face?
– July 13, 2017 –
There are more than 300 million people in the US alone. But yet many of us feel totally alone. How is that possible? For every person on this Earth there is another planet in our galaxy. Isn’t it amazing that 1 God knows every star and planet, as well as you?
King David said, “For You (God) formed my inward parts, you wove me in my mother’s womb.” “…I am fearfully and wonderfully made;” “And in Your book were written all the days of my life.” (Psalm 139:13,14,16) If God knows us that well, then why do we suffer and feel alone?
I believe, from my own experience, that we feel alone because we don’t value relationships. Again from my own experience, I’ve noticed that depression has come from looking backwards and putting more value in past relationships than my current or future relationships.
If God knows each of us that well, why do we doubt Him and not trust Him? He loves each of us so much, that He sent his Son to be like us, walking and talking and frail human, to die in the sight of other humans, and to rise to heaven in the sight of humans. Willingly, and wantingly to have a relationship with each of us.
Brothers and sisters, we’re alone on this planet because we choose to be alone and we don’t value relationships. We can talk to Jesus anytime we want to. Any hour of the day, any day of the week, not just on Sunday morning. May God bless you today with His presence.
