Why Follow Jesus?

Back from vacation and being determined to make a difference, I humbly give you these ideas. If they touch you, please forward them on.

The meaning of the cross is simply, “Jesus is worth following because He is the One who came to solve our deepest problem.” Christianity is an understanding that God knew us before we were even in our mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5), and that the Lord gave us the same power as He gave Jeremiah when He said, “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).

He has sought us and called us, but He also gave us free will to choose to follow Him. The cross is a reminder of what we focus our thoughts and efforts on. God gives us our jobs, do we focus on doing our best to glorify Him, or do we ho-hum our way through the day?
