Day 9 of God’s Love

Day 9 of God’s Love for Us

July 29, 2017

“Rejoice and exult with all your heart,…The Lord has taken away His judgements against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You will fear disaster no more.”(Zephaniah 3:14-15)

When we draw near to God, we find happiness. Things of this world that make us “happy” fade away typically. There is more happiness in eternity than in things that fade away.

Day 8 of God’s Love

Day 8 of God’s Love for Us – July, 28, 2017 –  “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all thins as we are, yet (remained) without sin.”(Hebrews 4:15) Jesus knows the path that we’re on, because He was “given all this domain and its glory,”(Luke 4:6) or, given dominion over all the kingdoms of the world, if He had only bowed to Satan. Satan wants to give us the desires of our here and now, in exchange for an eternity of peace.

Day 7 of God’s Love

Day 7 of God’s Love for Us – July 27, 2017 –  “The steps of a man (us) are established by the Lord, and He delights in his (our) way. When he (we) falls, he (we) will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds his (our) hand.”(Psalm 37:23-24) When we actively seek the Lord with our heart, and try our best to live a moral, loving, good life, God may let us stumble, but not fall and get hurt.

Day 6 of God’s Love

Day 6 of God’s Love for Us  – July 26, 2017 –   Day 6 comes from Psalm 34. If we will seek God, this means actively looking for Him, He will: hear us(v4), deliver us from our fears and troubles(v4,6), protect and rescue us(v7), supply our needs(v9), see and listen to us(v15), comfort us(v18), condemn those against us(v21), redeem our souls(v22), and give us refuge and salvation(v22). These are some of the ways God shows us His love.

God is Mightier Than…

God is Mightier Than… – July 25, 2017 –  What is God mightier than? The easy answer, everything. The hard answer, still everything. In King Solomon’s days, and in all his wisdom, he wrote some of his interesting observations in Ecclesiastes chapter 3.  Basically, he pointed out that there is a time, or season, for everything in our lives. From birth to death, tear down and build up, mourn and dance, to be silent and to speak, just to name a few things. Solomon also pointed out the advantages to having relationships and working together. His most powerful statement, I Read More

Day 5 of God’s Love

Day 5 of God’s Love for Us – July 24, 2017- “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved(gently corrected) by Him; For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges(judges) every son (and daughter)whom He receives.”(Hebrews 12:5-6) Expanding and explaining this is easy, “Who loves his child more— the father who allows the child to do what will harm them, or the father who corrects, trains, and even punishes the child to help them learn what is right? It is never pleasant to be corrected and disciplined by Read More

Day 4 of God’s Love

Day 4 of God’s Love for Us  – July 22, 2017 –  “Prayer is our response to God’s constant invitation to interact with Him.”(Disciples Path “The Journey” Volume 3.2, of 20, LifeWay) What an amazing thought, God’s constant invitation. Who else wants to have a constant interaction with you, or with us as individuals? He actively wants to know the desires of our heart, help us through our pain, hear our confessions, and feel our adoration.
