Day 36 of God’s Love for Us
December 21, 2017
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”(2 Corinthians 5:21 NASB). When we trust in Christ, we make an exchange-our sin for his righteousness. God offered to share His freedom and moral principles which are immeasurable, with us- who are broken, immoral, and generally ungrateful.
When we acknowledge, believe, and trust in Jesus, we can encourage, help, and strengthen one another. Also, “we can celebrate with each other when we see God’s victorious love take hold of another person’s life”(The Journey, by Disciples Path, pg 71, volume 4).
Jesus willingly went to the cross and died to call us little brother or sister. “For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,”(Hebrews 2:11). By believing in Jesus, we have been “sanctified,” set apart from the rest of the world, and spiritually adopted into His family, and given new principles and direction to live.
