Help Yourself Feb 21, 2017 How can you really help yourself? Can you help yourself by doing more? But doing more of what? I can help my back pain by stretching, moving, and resting; I can help my head cold by taking my meds, getting outside in fresh air, and resting. Yes, doing activity helps, but resting helps equally. To help ourselves best find happiness, we need to “rest” in the Lord and ask Him for help and guidance. God wants a relationship with us. In return, He will give us direction, abundance, love, and most of all happiness. Read More

Invisibility Cloak
Invisibility Cloak Feb 17, 2017 What would you do if you could be invisible at will? Would you do bad things? Steal, hurt someone, destroy things, or just hide? Or would you give to others and be a light to someone else? Would you think more of you, or more of others? In John 10:10 “The thief(devil) comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I (Jesus) came that they (you and me) may have life, and have it abundantly.” So, if you were invisible, whom would you act more like? This world has given us problems, hardships, and pain; Read More
Limiting God
Limiting God Feb 16, 2017 From reading about Caleb, Joshua, & Paul, they wholeheartedly believed in God, His power, His word as truth, and His desire of a relationship with them. Through our belief in Jesus, we can have that same relationship with God. Are there ways in life that you limit what God could have done or can do in your life? If so, seek a better relationship with Jesus to find what joy, happiness, and possibilities can be for you. (Photos from Our Daily Bread daily devotionals)
Where is There Hope?
Where is There Hope? Feb 11, 2017 Where is there hope? Today’s readings are unusual because they have similar themes. The difference in living today and looking forward, versus looking backward. There is only grief when you look back and ask “what if that didn’t happen.” The better questions when looking back is, “what did I learn and how can I apply that moving forward?” Hope comes from looking forward and asking, “what is possible, and what can I see and learn today?” God designed or lives to be a journey, to learn, and to always be moving toward Him. The Greatest Commandment
The Greatest Commandment Feb 10, 2017 “Love the Lord your God worth all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” That was Jesus’s words of the greatest commandment. It is easy for us to do this for a moment or two during our day, but it takes discipline to carry that throughout the day. One way to do that it to tell someone, “Jesus loves you,” then watch the wave of peace wash across their face as they try to reconcile that thought. (Photos of Our Daily Bread daily devotionals)
Where Did Pinatas Originate?
Where Did Pinatas Originate Feb 9, 2017 I didn’t know where piñatas came from, now I do. Given the choice, would you rather live like a tree near the river or like shrub? The difference being the amount of life giving water. Jesus is the nourishing river of life. (Photos of Our Daily Bread daily devotional)
What if we Could “See to Tomorrow”?
What if we Could ‘See to Tomorrow’? Feb 8, 2017 What would we do if we could “see to tomorrow?” I think most people would be more unproductive than they currently are because they would always be looking to see what is going to happen, rather than making something happen today. If we think of God as our lighthouse, we will have proof that He is always there & He can see farther than us. God can see around the corners and into the shadows of our lives.
